Two things are needed:

  1. Install a certificate for our filter (this one install will be used by both Safari and Chrome browsers on your Mac):
    1. In your web browser, go to https://mw-filter01.mwisd.local/portal/
    2. Click on the link for “SSL certificate installation” toward the bottom of the screen.
    3. Click the “download certificate” button. (pictures of the next steps are on that screen as well)
    4. When the certificate finishes downloading, it will appear in your default Downloads folder. Usually, this can be accessed via the Dock near the Trash icon, or, depending on your browser, it may appear in a dedicated downloads window. Locate the file and click to open it.
    5. Opening the file will launch the Keychain Access application; here, you will be asked whether to always trust CIPAFilter certificates. Click “Always Trust.” Be sure to trust it for the computer and just not user.
    6. Next, you will be prompted to enter the user name and password you use to log on to the computer; do so, and click “Update Settings”.
  1. Install the CipaFilter authentication client:
    1. In your web browser, go to https://mw-filter01.mwisd.local/data/authclient/CIPAFilter.1.3.1.3.mpkg.pkg
    2. Run this file to install the software client.
